Responsibilities
- As a Turnaround Piping Work Preparator, you are responsible for preparing detailed and efficient work packages for piping-related activities during scheduled turnarounds. You ensure that all preparatory work supports safe, timely, and cost-effective execution of field tasks while aligning with company standards and turnaround objectives.
- The Turnaround officially begins around January of 2027.
- Work preparators will be required before hand.
- Translate scope definitions from turnaround planning into executable piping work packages.
- Ensure all work packages comply with site HSE standards, engineering practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and reserve required piping materials, tools, equipment, and scaffolding. Coordinate procurement or rentals as necessary.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external contractors to align on work execution strategies.
- Generate job plans including step-by-step task lists, labor hours, material lists, isometrics, and field sketches when needed.
- Perform field walk-downs to verify scope, assess site conditions, and optimize work sequencing.
- Enter and manage work orders in SAP (or equivalent CMMS) to ensure accurate job tracking, material availability, and status updates.
- Continuously review and improve work packages based on lessons learned and feedback from execution teams.
- Ensure work packages are ready and complete well in advance of the turnaround execution phase.
Requirements
- Previous turnaround experience is preferred, ideally in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sector.
- Solid understanding of piping systems, construction methods, and field execution constraints.
- Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP / CMMS tools.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting piping isometrics, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Safety-oriented with attention to detail and efficiency.
- EU citizenship is mandatory due to site and legal requirements.
