As a Turnaround Piping Supervisor, you are responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of piping work during major turnarounds. You lead field activities, manage contractor teams, and ensure that the scope is delivered in line with planning, safety, and productivity targets.
Supervise and coordinate all piping-related activities in the field during turnaround execution.
Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations, site policies, and permit-to-work requirements.
Lead daily toolbox talks and enforce safety procedures among own and contractor teams.
Monitor and drive progress against turnaround schedule and work packages.
Interface with planning, QA/QC, materials, scaffolding, lifting, and insulation teams to resolve issues and avoid delays.
Review isometrics, P&IDs, and layout drawings to guide teams and verify installation accuracy.
Oversee activities such as pipe cutting, fit-up, welding, hydrotesting, and supports installation.
Track manpower, equipment usage, and material availability, escalating issues proactively.
Maintain detailed field logs and support progress reporting to management.
Contribute to punch list resolution and mechanical completion processes.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement in field execution.
Requirements
Technical diploma or equivalent practical experience in mechanical/piping supervision.
Previous turnaround experience is preferable, preferably in petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial settings.
Strong technical knowledge of piping systems, isometrics, welding processes, and pressure testing.
Proven ability to lead and coordinate contractor teams under tight turnaround timelines.
Comfortable working in dynamic environments with frequent change and high safety standards.
Familiarity with SAP or similar systems for work order tracking is an advantage.
Proficient with MS Office and digital reporting tools.
Strong communication and leadership skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
EU citizenship is mandatory due to legal and project-specific requirements.
