Responsibilities
- Develop and review piping layouts, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings.
- Perform piping stress analysis and support design in accordance with project requirements and relevant codes (ASME, EN, etc.).
- Prepare and review material take-offs, piping specifications, and datasheets for valves, fittings, and pipe components.
- Coordinate with other disciplines such as civil, structural, mechanical, and process to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Participate in 3D model reviews and ensure model accuracy and constructability.
- Interface with vendors and subcontractors for technical evaluations and clarifications.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the piping design.
- Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Contribute to design reviews, HAZOPs, and risk assessments as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in piping design within the chemical, petrochemical, or oil & gas sector.
- Proficient in piping design software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), or PDMS.
- Solid understanding of relevant piping codes and standards (ASME B31.3, EN13480, etc.).
- Experience with piping stress analysis tools such as CAESAR II or equivalent.
- Familiarity with 3D model coordination and digital review platforms (e.g., Navisworks).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
