Responsibilities

Role Overview

For the upcoming Turnaround 2027, we are seeking a senior planning professional with strong site execution experience from refinery, petrochemical, or process industry shutdowns.

Although the role is positioned within planning, the client is primarily looking for an individual who can act as the operational lead on site during both preparation and execution phases. This is not a purely scheduling-focused position.

The successful candidate will serve as the key interface between field execution activities and the planning team, ensuring that actual site progress is accurately monitored, reported, and reflected in the turnaround schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the site-based lead representative during turnaround preparation and execution
  • Monitor and verify progress of maintenance and shutdown activities in the field
  • Coordinate daily activities between contractors, supervisors, maintenance teams, and planning functions
  • Identify deviations, delays, bottlenecks, and execution risks
  • Provide accurate progress updates and field feedback to planners and schedulers
  • Ensure that planning assumptions align with actual site conditions
  • Participate in coordination meetings and support turnaround management with status reporting
  • Follow up on work execution, resource utilization, and schedule adherence
  • Support decision-making by providing real-time information from the field

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate combines strong planning knowledge with extensive field experience from major turnaround events.

We are particularly interested in professionals with backgrounds such as:

  • Turnaround Coordinator
  • Turnaround Supervisor
  • Maintenance Supervisor
  • Shutdown Coordinator
  • Field Execution Lead
  • Mechanical Supervisor
  • Turnaround Execution Manager

Rather than being a pure scheduler, the candidate should have a strong understanding of how maintenance work is executed on site and be comfortable working closely with operations, contractors, and maintenance organizations.
